cigarette lighter battery chargers
Discussion
The lighter socket type units are normally battery conditioners, not chargers. The Halfords one I use on the Tuscan is fine for keeping the battery charged in the garage, but they need at least 6 volts coming back from the battery to kick in the charging mode. Any less and they won't charge, certainly no use for a totally flat battery.
If the battery is totally flat, you'll still need the anderson leads and a proper charger.

I am an accumate user too through the cigarette lighter and it works fine. I keep it trickle charged all the time. When I get back from a run and hook it up I notice it takes the charger a few minutes to show its fully charged. I am told by TVR RG that they do drain for some reason even there does not appear to be anything major draining the battery. Money well spent in my view.
