oil pipes

hello all , would anyone have a spare oil pipe for a late 4.2 that they would sell me its the one that goes from the oil pump itsself i thought id ask on here first as you never know many thanks

Sorry to high jack OP, Does any one know what kind of fittings the oil hose work uses is it BSP fittings and if so what size? I have never had a close look at them.

mine are all off now, all are usable, one has a slight wear from touching the chassis, but can be wrapped to prevent it being a further problem. Got all the new ones made by a local hydraulics place but cost near £300.

Which one did you pump oil into to prime the pump?

all the hoses are 5/8th bsp, the oil cooler is 5/8th bsp, the oil filter is 1/2th BSP and uses an adapter. This is on my 2004 4.5 any way.

I brought a mocal oil stat but has 1/2th bsp so had to use adapters could have got the 5/8th version had i know.

That's the longest one isn't it, and yep you can, i'll clean it up at work tonight then see about postage.

Cheers Peter, I am looking to change my cooler when i take the engine out over the winter and replace all the hose's while i am at it.

You might as well stick an oil stat in at the same time.

That was the plan as well. What temp stat did you fit and where did you source it from.

Mocal OT/2 80 degree, get the 5/8th BSP and will be a much neater install than mine. That or the sandwich plate one.
