12 week old pup coughing

Got our lurcher pup from the pound 4 weeks ago, took her straight to the vets for her inoculations then back again last Saturday for the second round of them. Yesterday evening she started coughing like a 20 a day beagle, sounds like a cross between a cough and her vomiting although the only thing she's coughed up was a bit of foamy stuff tonight. I had a look down her throat to check there wasn't something stuck as she chews anything she can find.
Is it likely to just be a side effect of the jabs?

Possibly if the jabs included kennel cough but phone your vets today and get advice. It's not a common side effect so need to be sure it is moot something else.

She may have got kennel cough from the pound and only just showing signs now. Also need to rule out lungworm but this is less likely.

Thanks bex, don't think kennel cough was mentioned so we'll phone the vet later and get both the dogs checked out.
