BBWF Southern Convoy - Saturday

Hi all,

Anyone interested in the usual meet at High Wycombe Cinema, for a convoy up to the Wedgefest on the Saturday morning?!

Usual meet up time of 8am for a 8.30 start.

Can never remember the route details?! Always to busy enjoying the drive , but I'm sure we can work it out!!!

Hi Matt,

Sorry should have said, in the past we've tended to make our way up via A and B roads, through Woodstock, Banbury etc. So if we get any more takers we could meet with you at an agreed location on the way!

I'll be coming up the A34 to Oxford. Would love to join on. Can you suggest a suitable meeting point and time.

ok, found an old route map in the glovebox, courtesy of Rev-erend

Starts at the car park for the High Wycombe cinema at J4 of the M40
Uses A and B roads
A40 through Stokenchurch
B4009 through Watlington
A329 through Stadhampton
A4074 Past the Sainsbury's on the roundabout **This could be a good point to pick up some more wedgers!**
A34 (just for a little bit)
A44 past Blenheim Park and through Woodstock
A3400 through Shipston-on-Stour
A429 & B4455 Fosse Way leading to Ettington Chase

According to Alan's directions it's about 70 miles and 2 hours.
Nice drive, if everyone is following me then we're bound to get lost!
Hopefully there will be some old hands available to navigate (follow)
There is one more place where we stop; I think it's on the A44, petrol station selling Shell Optimax.
Let me know what you guys think.
I'll probably do the drive anyway as it's becoming a bit of a pilgrimage

Would be great to get a convoy together!

Mike, I'm definately on. I guess we need to wait on Mani- A convoy surely means more than a couple of cars ;-)

Lets see if he fancies mmting up still and if so we can wake up north Oxfordshire on the way to the Fest!

9.30 Sainsbury's Saturday. Perfect. As you drive into the car park there is a Car wash behind the service station on the right. There is plenty of space behind there. I shall lurk around there....well out of the way of the shoppers!
