Refurbishing seats

Hi all,

Has anyone experience of restoring their seats using a DIY kit got any advice. There appear to be 2 leading companies. Furniture Clinic and Leather Repair Company. Looking at the guides both appear to be good products (one is more solvent based) but I just wondered if anyone had some feed back on either ? My seats are cracked and will need some filler and then recolouring and sealing so I assume its some heavy filler, sanding down and then recolouring ? It looks easy and time consuming but the results look really good !

I have just finished my seats using the Furniture Clinic Finishing and Repair kits with superb results.The colour match was good to.
It is important as with most jobs to take your time in preperation and remove all the old finish.
The cracks are then minimal and can be filled useing the Furniture Clinic filler with little flattening required.
Woolies also supply kits and repair materials, such as piping and thread.

Go for the Furniture Clinic stuff, the quality is excellent and if you get really stuck with it all, they can even refinish the seats for you. Obviously that will cost a bit more, but the results are great. They have agents and distributors all over the country, so someone local should be available if you needed them!

Thanks for the replies got a few repairs to get done on one seat then I'll get a kit. Other links and thread useful too....
