MPs are to investigate the sexual exploitation of children, after an expert warned abuse was taking place "all over the country".
England's Deputy Children's Commissioner Sue Berelowitz said girls as young as 11 were being expected to perform sex acts on "line-ups of boys".
Is this really happening all over our country? Is this place we live in really this horrid? 'There isn't a town, village or hamlet in which children are not being sexually exploited.' Really?England's Deputy Children's Commissioner Sue Berelowitz said girls as young as 11 were being expected to perform sex acts on "line-ups of boys".
Here's my local version - pretty much goes along with the report...

So if I go down to my local village childrens park there's going to be gangs of people raping and exploiting children there? Because according to the report its happening everywhere, all the time.http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2089548_gang_of...
And do you know what, I have yet to meet anyone who has suffered this abuse, yet according to the report every other child must be affected by this behaviour....
I;m sirry but I just find this alarmist. If this is happening everywhere why aren't the police doing something about it?

"Young people were often acting out scenes they had seen in online pornography, she added."
I think that's the important line, probably more scaremongering to try and ban porn.
I think the ease of access to online porn is terrifying. I got in to porn around 12 years old at school, because in those days you needed older connections who could actually acquire the stuff.I think that's the important line, probably more scaremongering to try and ban porn.
Now anyone can boot up google and type anything to access porn.
Fortunately I'm IT-savvy, so the kids computers are already locked down, even though they are 4 and 5. I'll slowly release access as they get older, and then eventually leave my son some handy bookmarks

These things have happened throughout human history.
We have a voracious media these days which makes sure we are all aware of the underbelly activities of society.
I read an article about this elsewhere and it said it was amazing how many men in the 50's and older had been sexually assaulted when young by family members, at school or by other 'trusted' adults. Amongst women it seemed much less prevalent. We have a voracious media these days which makes sure we are all aware of the underbelly activities of society.

I did the same to my dad, he had been searching "German Milf" so I put a child lock on his username and waited to see if he would ask why certain pages were blocked Now anyone can boot up google and type anything to access porn.

It's the "every hamlet" bit which is strange to me.
Some of the hamlets local to me on Gower have no more than half a dozen houses and a bus-stop yet according to Sue Berelowitz there are definitely children being sexually exploited in every single one.

I know at least three people who've been sexually abused as children, all of different ages, and they're just the ones that were open enough to tell me about it... I;m sirry but I just find this alarmist. If this is happening everywhere why aren't the police doing something about it?
A lot of the time the Police won't do anything about it as they don't get told, of the three people that I know, only one ever involved the Police (which resulted in an arrest and conviction)
