Hi,

Recently notice a subtle slight "scraping" sound coming from the rear of the car (but only seems to be the drivers side). I've had this before (but much more audible) and replacement discs and pads solved it. After looking on the internet, it sounded like I needed new brake pads, so I got them changed (as they needed doing anyway).
However, I've noticed that the problem is still there. It goes away when I brake, and is only audible when the car is moving. At speed I can't hear it, but I guess that's only because of wind noise. Turning the wheel doesn't seem to make any difference to the sound (that I've noticed), so I don't think it's the bearings.

There is a bit of rust on the rear, driver side disc which I think the calliper is touching very slightly (about 3mm). Discs don't look dodgy and pads are brand new. Will take it back to the garage tomorrow, but just wondered if anyone had any ideas what it could be? Is it something I should get sorted urgently, or is it just a bit of annoying rust / something stuck somewhere?

Cheers

Mine produced a scraping noise from the rear for ages, only new discs sorted it out.
