Agree.I think this might really cancel a lot of criticism for what was shown at Villa d'Este

This is meant to be the one with images of the production version and those are the first images around. I would say it is worth a dedicated thread or it is better to keeping on reading a lot of post related to Villa D'Este with speculation or people saying I have seen it, it is nice but I cannot say anything? yet another thread on the new Vanquish........
It is also true that if I would finally have a DB9 I would probably be more out to look and listen to it more than writing posts here

This car reminds me of the evolution the BMW e39 took to the e60, was it a better design? I don't know but the e60 sold better than the e39. I think it may be a case of having to get use to it, although at first look the rear looks kit car, like someone painted the tail lights to give that wrap around look and the front looks like virage wings with too fussy of a chin spoiler.
I'm curious. On the current cars the finisher strip on the taillights is a separate piece that is held in place with double sticky tape. In the new car it looks like this piece is now moulded as part of the bumper. So is the strip in the taillights still adhered and will it make it more complicated to remove the bumper?
Not that many owners will be disassembling their cars, but through many years of ownership I tend to wind up taking mine apart. Case in point: I had to remove the bumper, taillights, and wheel liners off my V8V in order to install my new N420 diffuser.

I know there is talk of this being an "all new" car but it looks very similar to existing models to me. There are still lots of components inside from the existing range and the basic layout seems to indicate to me that there must be a fair few parts under the skin the same too.
Sure the engine stats sound amazing and if economy is up too thats got to be good - but I dont see this as all new, more like another evolution / new model. In fact from the pics it looks like a "virage in drag" to me! Still I will wait until I see one in the flesh before forming any final opinions.

Quite like the rear and side. Most of the front is OK.
The splitter is nasty. Clumsiest piece of design since I last looked at a Ssangyong.
The wing mirrors aren't far behind. Evidently UB has a mate with a few articulated lorry spares going. Funny how everyone else doesn't have to endow their cars with elephant ears to meet new regs.
Interior may or may not be OK. Some of what you can see in the photo is odd though - look at how the dash "merges" (use the term loosely) with the door cards.
The rest of the interior doesn't look massively different to the current cars. Which are nice but leaves me feeling a bit "so what".

Yeah, that bright red interior with the light colored "crocodile skin" quilting in the picture above looks pretty ghastly. I much prefer the diamond quilting. Just saw the car scenes in Casino Royale last night and the charcoal alcantara with coarse silver stitched diamond quilting in Bond's DBS looks lovely. The rest of the interior doesn't look massively different to the current cars. Which are nice but leaves me feeling a bit "so what".
