Growl - Thanks to everyone
Discussion
Well, another Growl over. Given the weather either side of the weekend I think we we're lucky for once.
Many thanks to everyone that supported the event, either as a punter or a trader, or that donated anything to the auction. Particular thanks go to the White Horse who looked after us most of the weekend and put on a good spread for the BBQ giving us the run of the place until they hoofed us out at about 3am.
The traders gave generously again and although the final raised for Cancer Research hasn't been calculated it will be well over £1,000, primarily raised at the BBQ.
There were 89 Griffs and 30 other TVR's over the weekend which is the first time for about 7 years we've got less than 100 Griffs, but that's just a combination of the numbers dwindling, many of the sales going overseas and the economic situation.
It was great to see so many Growl virgins and I've had e-mails off a number of you saying how much you enjoyed the weekend and look forward to next year, so we hope to see you again. I think next year we should come in our "normal" cars as I only seem to use mine for storage and the event is now more about the people than the cars, which I think is great.
We couldn't do it without the traders and the owners so many thanks to you all and long may the Griff Growl be the biggest single model event.
