I'm trying to reuse an old Sony stereo in my loft which is plumbed in for ceiling speakers. It's quite an old unit (I suspect about 10 years, but maybe nearer 13!) but for what I want it'll do the job (HCD-M90 if anyone is interested). However, it has a propriety plastic adapter for the speaker cables, it's a small plastic block made up of two square boxes which are joined to form a rectangle and the cable is connected into each box. It's a sealed unit and looking about nobody seems to have replacements for it.

So - I'm I stuffed and have to relegate the unit to the proverbial skip, or is there a way I can get my cable onto these connectors (or replacements)?

Looks like this - sorry it's slightly out of focus!

Yeah, that was my fallback - but then I'd never be able to use the speakers again if I ever needed to. The wire is quite thin as well so will be a right pain to strip but if that's my only option I guess that's what I'll need to do.
