Every now and again someone posts some Porsche based artwork so I thought now would be a good time to show my first effort. It is 150 x 80cm and will be an abstract representation of a classic 911 in full flight. I started a few weeks ago and considered creating a progress thread but I have been known to procrastinate and spend months, even years putting off completion. Anyway, here is a photo taken early during the process. Over the coming days I will post some more photos I took as I progressed. I hope to finish the painting in the next week or two.

I hope you will like it...

Excuse the pink hue. I was using a crap camera.

Some detail shots. Not too long to go. Hopefully it will be finished for next weekend but you never know...

Sorry for the delay. Between moving house and plannng a wedding, other things got in the way.

That often happens to me too but then I do a bit more and have the same feeling again.

Looking at it again, its amazing how you 'see' the lines that are'nt there! I swear I can 'see' the bulging wings and the bonnet line!

Until I read the post I though that was the finished article. Looks good as it is, maybe keep this one and do another more detailed version aswell?

I really like that and am looking forward to seeing the finished article.

I must say, as it is with a splash of bold colour would look awesome!

That does look good. As already said, I too would be tempted to leave it at that.

I am surprised how many people are saying I should leave it as it is. I will bear that in mind for future works. The painting is actually near completion but for fun I wanted to show the progress gradually.

I will try and get another image up later or tomorrow.

I really like it, how it is too..perhaps photcopy it ...and then continue?

One I did last year....it's about 4or 5 ft wide.... but the canvas is not bent...not sure why it looks that way..

I like both pics on here - they're great but agree that the OP should photcopy what he's done , stick it on a t-shirt and sell it - looks wonderful. T-shirts could be traditional Porsche colours too to make it even more interesting!

I agree. The first painting printed onto a Martini blue t-shirt would look pretty smart.

Or maybe that as the breast logo with the Martini stripes down the other side of the shirt.

Excellent artwork, I have to say. The second one is also very sale-worthy.

The t-shirts idea is great and I will have to think about that.

The curves are starting to fill with some 80s red.
