So, I saw this advert....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-FORD-CAPRI-LASER-WH...
I realise it's tacky and horrific, but It's cheap and a Capri... should I beg the parents for some garage space before proceeding to de-chav it.I realise that there are a few Capri's in that price range, but i feel very sorry for this one in particular :S

Jesus titty Christ, that looks horrific. Don't do it. I purchased a Capri once, and I owned it for 6 weeks, before selling it. That there should give you an indication of how good they are...

Is that the Aston Martin special edition? It really is poor!
If you want a Capri you need a standard one - something like a 3ltr S in signal orange!!

Nope - but I'm guessing that's the look the owner was going for (he failed frown). Poor Capri.

cheers folks, the idea was to rip the horrific body-kit off and try and return it to standard :P It's the only small engined one I could find within 200 miles:P and being that I did a good job of killing my last car 2 litres seems to be the best I can afford :'(

It's basically a Mk II Cortina underneath. Julius Caesar had one.

+1

The kits is blended into the body by the look of it.

It's probably hiding all sorts of rust underneath.

Unless you like its looks and want to keep it that way (!) then doont get it !

I do love eighties cars but old sporty Ford's from the era often seem overpriced for what they are to me. And don't start me off on mk1/2 Escort prices, can't get my head around those.
