Apparently stowaways are the reason we're all waiting in the car park at Eurotunnel!

2 hours so far....

Finally! On the train but must avoid the temptation to make up time on the motorway!

The south tunnel is closed in one of the segments due to illegal immigrants found earlier this morning.

The hauliers I use are reporting delays of 6 hours with only 2 departures per hour ferry's are also now being effected.

I will let you know if I have any other updates but that is the most recent as of 11.30 GMT

We got here at 10:30 looking to jump on an early crossing.
Our booking was at 12:50, but we're still here in the car park.
For the first hour we wandered around looking at all of the sports cars, but there's not much turnover and even that is getting to be old hat - if I look at the same cars again, the owners will think I'm some kind of international car thief !!

We got there at 6:45 for a 7.30am train, we ended up leaving at 10:40am. From what I could see, there was only 1 train leaving every 75 minutes or so.

Eurotunnel excellent. Cheaper than the old slow usually late Ferries and were dead on time Thursday going and coming home Monday.

Apparently Eurotunnel lost a train yesterday, so some departures were delayed, Our 16:30 K Train was full, and we were delayed until the 16:50 departure.

So my experience over the last few years is an 80% delayed departure, rarely do I get away on time.
