PH - Adverts popping up everywhere

Just logged on after being on my hols for the last 12 days and the first thing that happens when I clicked on a thread, was an ad opening up, and a chance to take a PH survey and win an IPOD. 
Now when I'm reading a thread certain words are underlined and if I hover the mouse over them, an advert pops up.
As far as I'm aware every anti blocker etc etc is set up correctly on my PC, so is this a new money generating excercise for PH? Because if it is, its bloody annoying.
