odessa and kiev currency ?

we are visiting odessa and kiev, please can anyone tell us how easy it is to exchange currency, is it better to take pounds or dollars ?

I had to look it up - it's the Hryvnia, and there are about 12 to the pound. A brief trawl of the internet says dollars are best.

Just take out local currency from ATMs using your debit card. No need to take GBP or USD.

And you'll be able to pay for loads of stuff using your CC.
