I wonder whether there are enough of us interested in a meet in Kent and a convoy during this summer?

Perhaps meet at a country pub for lunch then a convoy through a few towns and villages.

Do you fancy it?

Have you been outside, pheeeewee ....hot!

I know what you mean though, the S is at home as it looked like it was gonna rain this morning!

It looks like we are to have an Indian summer. so I was thinking late August or September?

Just thought a one off rumble through Kent would be a blast and a change of scenery for some who are on the outskirts. Am I treading on any toes suggesting this, as you mention the other SEL meet?

For details on the SEL Kent meet lookup NCS here on PistonHeads… … as I can never remember the bloody dates - but it's based over at Dunton Green. Nice pub, and the food is good too.

If you fancy a run out on Sunday (and want to stretch your legs a bit) come over to the Mid-Essex meet… http://213.52.163.118/gassing/topic.asp?f=13&h=&t=115650

Other than that I'm normally up for a weekend blat… ..at the moment weekdays are too busy..

I wonder whether I can convince the wife that I'm taking her for her birthday treat .....and there just happens to be loads of Tivs there too?

Whenever I say the word convoy she retorts something along the lines of "sad muppet", she's not been on one you see and therefore cannot be as enthusiastic as to the thrill one gets from hurtling along with 40 odd other similarly fantastic sounding and looking cars.

Cheers Podie, I'd love to but I think I may not live to see my own birthday!

Presumably there will be another meet around the same time next month when we should be settled into our new home and I may have even sorted the exhaust, or left it behind on one of the speed ramps!

Mid-Essex is second Sunday of the month…

You'll have to ask NCS about the SEL Kent one… NCS…!

I'd be up for it! I live in Maidstone so any Kent venue would be suitable.

Good on ya fellas.

It'll just be an informal gathering between the other regular meets for those in and around Kent or anyone who wants an excuse for a run out!

I'll post again towards the end of this month to arrange something during early September.

Don't be shy if you would like to have a get together, leave a response to this thread and we can get an idea of numbers.

Cheers,
KS2

Pies .....are you up for a rumble around the garden of england and a bit of fodder and a wee beverage of the non-alcoholic type?

Perhaps during early September?

By September time I might be back living down near the Gatwick area, so I would be not too far away and up for a blast!

Excellent stuff Mike, it will be nice to meet a few of those I regularly converse with here.

I'll keep this bookmarked and will arrange something nearer the time.

Cheers,
Kevin

Somebody call??

We meet on the first Sunday lunchtime & fourth Monday evening of each month at The Rose & Crown, Dunton Green (just north of Sevenoaks)
At this time of year we get 25 - 40 cars per meet.

We tend to be up to something most weekends, in fact every weekend for the next two months!

Drop me a line via my profile if your interested & I will send an invite to join our egroup which will keep you posted.

All the best

I can see the logic in not having too many things organised with only a few attending each. Also, I didn't want to reduce any attendance at other meets.

Does everyone interested in a Kent meet attend the North Kent and London meets, or would we like to have a meet for more southerly based folks every now and then, or perhaps even just a one off get together?

Kentish

I have not been to the SE London/NW Kent meet, but intend to shortly, however your original idea of an informal Kent meet really appeals.
