Gearbox breather tank

Collective wisdom required please.

How large does the gearbox breather tank need to be for a G50-52 and how high have others mounted their tank?

The Factory version is about the size of a coffee mug and sits on the chassis rail running across the top of the 'box. It probably can't go any heigher.

Mine is the same as the photos and your description Steve.

I had a problem with oil leaking out of the pot. I tried different fittings and was wondering if it was large enough.
I have discovered the problem this morning. I took it off and did a pressure test on it only to find it had a tiny split along the bottom weld. It was enough to allow a little leak. Now welded up again.

BTW this was not a new tank (one of the few old items that went back on the car!!!!) and looked like it had been ground back and made thin on the weld.
