Hi from Essex thread

Evening all/mods,

I have just seen a thread in GG by a new member. All good, sounds like a really decent chap, 16 and likes his stuff. However, a comment by martin84 has really quite raised an eyebrow. Would any of you mind reminding him that PH is an enthusiasts forum and that new members are most welcome. Particularly with a passion that the OP seems to have. As a young fella, he really doesn't need or require an idiot to make the comment that he did.

Not at all. For sure, a bit of piss taking and a bit of sarcasm is amusing but perhaps welcoming a 16 year old kid, that for once isn't on a half term trolling mission, who has a bit of passion, is better than that comment/greeting from one of our members? Look, I'm not exactly the most subtle of posters sometimes but I do know what and what isn't appropriate.

No, it wasn't just myself who's eyebrows raised. And no, it isn't 'just about you'. Perhaps you may reflect on why you feel 'victimised?' it may very well be that in fact, some of your posts are ste. Who knows?

It was an inappropriate comment in the context of the thread. If you can't understand that, well perhaps you should reconsider your membership of PH.
