Any experience of Transcend Memory Cards?
Discussion
Off to Japan so I expect the EOS to get a proper work out. As such, decided it's about time I bough another memory card.
Already I have 1x 8GB Sandisk Ultra, 2x 4GB Sandisk Extreme and a random brand 4GB card from Thailand.
Noticed on Amazon you can get a Transcend 8GB card for only 10.99 inc postage. Any experiences on this brand?

Always shoot in RAW and to be honest I don't really go for multiple fps so I suspect the write speed shouldn't be an issue.
Opinions?

Personal opinion: if speed not an issue stick to Sandisk, lower speed, from reputable sources like Amazon, Play, 7Day etc.
I am sure Transcend etc are good, but you don't want to mess with taking risks on trip-of-a-lifetime photos.
Plus - use a handful of smaller capacity cards and don't squeeze every last inch of space out of them!

Fair enough. I must admit, of the cars I have, the only one that's every caused me issues is the random one from Thailand. The Sandisk items have been brilliant.
This one looks a bit expensive!!!
Found an 8GB Sandisk Ultra for 17.50 inc p&p from Amazon so going to go for that. 8+8+4+4=24GB total and that's even before I count the random Thai card too. Should be plenty for Japan methinks!

I've got a couple of Transcend cards (8GB and 16GB) and they have been fine. Never closely looked at the capacity thing the other poster mentioned though. Speed was fine, only noticed a slow down when shooting fast fps and large fine RAW+JPEG. Mine were 400x and 600x, make sure you get compatible speed cards whichever brand you buy.

Good Grief! How did you find that!!!!!!Why does 24Gb not sound very much these days?
