Just to remind everyone that there is a drag strip day on Sunday 16th June at North Weald Drag Strip, which is just down the road from McDonalds at Junc 7 of M11. I will be going and meeting everyone at McDonalds for egg-mcmuffins and coffee at 8.00am with the aim of getting to the drag strip for 8.30am. You will need to turn up early to be sure of getting a slot. It costs £10 per person entry fee and £15 to race.

Depending on where England finish in Group F, England will either be playing on Sat 15th at 12.30 or Sun 16th at 7.30

Or not at all if they don't finish in the top two

Is this meet open to anyone? Can I just turn up at the strip and race? What time does it open? How long does it last? So many questions!

Just turn up at McDonalds near Junc 7 of M11 at 8.00am, bring your driving license and a long sleeved top.

Their website states that all you need is a full lisence and a long sleeved top.

No helmet is required, just turn up with licence & long sleeved top (probably long trousers too!).

£10 entry fee then £10 to participate.

I spoke to someone at the Drag Strip and they said that if the car is convertible then you have to wear a Helmet.

Now that England are playing on Saturday rather than Sunday morning, who is going to the Drag Strip on Sunday?

Looks like I'm going to have to drop out

London on Saturday night then driving to Brighton to pick up a London-Brighton cyclist on Sunday. Bugger.
