Hi guys, just looking for some information that I'm finding it difficult to find and wondered if somebody on here would know?

I currently own a Rover 25 (5 door '03) and I am on the look out for some roof bars. Being as skint as I am if I could find a second hand pair that would be ideal, the question is does the Rover 25 share the same roof fixings with other more popular car models / makes that second hand items are easier to come by?

I have looked at the soft roof bars that universally attach but due to often taking loads such as kayaks I feel these could be a bit dodgy to say the least!

Don't know directly what else will fit but this link: http://www.roofracks.co.uk/Thule+Fit+Guide/show.ph...

will tell you what Thule kits you need to fit a Rover 25. You can then cross-reference or check Ebay for them.

Downside is the Thule stuff isn't the cheapest.

Someone may know a cross-reference for other makes?

Thule stuff tends to come with only a few models of footpack (shared between many cars), a few lengths of bars, then a fitting kit that is vehicle-specific (and £15 or so).

Look up what you need, then trawl through the common models and see what shares the same bars and footpack.

Ah thanks, definitely pointing me in the right direction!

Am I right in thinking I just need Bars, Feet and the correct fitting kit? Or have I missed something?
