Picked up an ML500 today.

Mrs S wanted an ML and I wanted something with the newer 5.5 litre engine, for when I wanted to borrow it!
58 plate, from MB Direct of Balsall Common, 22k miles in Tansanite Blue with Cashmere Beige Leather and 19 inch AMGs.
I know the PH community generally frown upon light coloured leather and walnut and prefer resale black, but we like it.
Nothing this big should move this quickly and the noise from the stainless steel quad pipe system that the previous owner (who had it from demo) fitted, is most agreeable!
So far, so good, except it got dirty on the 160 mile trip home, so no pics yet!

I have to concur that the 5.5 is a fantastic engine. I need to listen to a sports exhaust as I have a feeling it may be making an appearance at some point.

I just had a good look underneath and it's only the tail pipes that are non-standard. Even the back boxes are original, so it was a purely cosmetic modification, which would explain the total lack of drone, which is always the risk you run when you open things up.

Great choice. Some pics and commentary would be great. I have the previous shape (1999 - 2004) ML and have been looking seriously at the the newer shape now that they seem to be entering sub-10K territory. They do look good, don't they?

I think so, although fashion tends to dictate black and no tree for a car these days! As long as I like it!
