Is there a guide somewhere for this? I'm doing a FUBAR and attempting some DIY. Also, slightly unrelated, does Steve Heath still sell the knurled thumb screws for F1 panel removal? I can't find any on his site now.

Cheers.

Hi mate, there are a couple of threads around describing how to change the wiper motor park switch, doing the motor will be the same.
But very quickly. Remove Airbox, battery, water header tank, bracket holding the tank and the motor is down under there. 1 to 1.5 hours perhaps.

Thanks for everyone's help, the motor is now out. The teeth on the gears are fine as you'd expect, but the motor has burnt out. If I were to source an Austin Mini wiper motor and then swap the gearbox out of the current motor, presumably this is the most cost effective method?

Be aware you cannot get the TVR spec 19 watt motor anymore.

I recently bought a 14w mini item and all that is transferable is the brush pack, park switch, magnets and retaining bolts. The rotor is under wound compared to ours and the shaft too short.

Need to find an electrical motor overhaul centre and get them rewound to 25 watts I'd say. The wink
