Cat - Female Spayed - Peeing Inside

Our female cat has occasionally peed inside in the past. We put this down to 'an accident' of being in for too long, and that as a rescue and not as well trained in asking to go out when young. This has usually happened in the same place, and did not happen very often.
Yesterday she had peed on the front mat in the day. Then last night she peed twice on carpet and paper within an hour (very small amounts, but not spraying), and then within 10 mins of coming in this morning she peed in a different place again.
As far as I am aware there has been no environmental change.
Looking around the web, this kind of behaviour could be symptomatic of a urinary tract infection or crystals in her urine. She will be off to the vets tomorrow in any case.
What do we think - likely? Is this easy to fix. Cheers.

It could be cystitis. Get her checked out tomorrow. If they suspect so they'll treat her accordingly prob with a'bios and anti inflammatories. If it re occurs they'll then prob investigate further to check not crystals etc.
If it is none of the above then is could be stress related which will take a bit of sorting out.
Is she a nervy cat? Have you seen any new cats in the area? Has there been any changes going on around the house ie building work?

She's not very stressed or nervy at all, indeed she seems to like new things (she has ended up in the Sainsbury's/painter's van before!), and there have been no changes I am aware of. There are no new cats that I'm aware of around but then it's not possible to keep an eye out 24/7.
We put a litter tray out today and she has used it 3 times for a pee.

The appointment was today as they were busy.
Bex was completely right as to the diagnosis the vet gave us (thanks!), she had an injection, and she's got some antibiotics and anti inflammatories to be going on with and we will see if it clears from there.
She's on wet food pouches.
The good thing is we've put a tray inside and she's using that - no blood though.
