It's about time I showed you my Noble
Discussion
I've owned this car for over 2 years ago, I'm an active member of Pistonheads and yet I've never thought to actually show it in a thread of my own!
2002 Noble M12 2.5 GTO
Aside from a replaced ECU, the car was basically standard when I bought it...which meant it hadn't even had the usual stuff fixed on it! Over the last 2 years it's had:
New bottom end bearings
New Crank
New Oil pump
New manifolds + ECU reflashed due to messed up fuel maps.
New radiator
New fusebox
New floor + carpets
Here's a couple of pics of the kind of work I've done so far:

What I found underneath:
After some strenuous sanding and rust treatment and paint:
New sparkly
New carpetry and clean interior:
I don't really have great access to hoses or cleaning equipment so I tend to drive around with it looking a bit like this:
But after giving a friend at work a ride in it he offered to help me give it a proper clean / "detail"... When he got the snowfoam and the DA out I knew he meant business:
and with a mere 4-5 hours of work, some pizza-based fuel and help from his glamorous assistant Chapppers we got it looking pretty darn spangly:
So it's now really the car I always wanted it to be. If you peruse the Noble forums you'll see there's a few who've decided to go for big power. At the moment, I don't want this. I can't possibly say what I might want down the line but for now this car is in my eyes perfect.
Power to weight ratio is somewhere between a GT3RS and GT3RS 4.0 and handling is mind boggling. I love the thing. Now to try to save for my own house/flat without resorting to a sale!

Performance is "somewhat more than adequate..." 
Surprisingly I'm yet to take it to a proper trackday but I have plans to in August I reckon to see how it really does. Fair enough on the plate, it just doesn't quite look as good when spaced 'properly'. I wouldn't call it chav though, it's not like it says "D4NNY" or "B16 7REV"
Silly numberplates are a bit of a bête noire for me too, but only when they're unreadable or a horrid font. I particularly hate the English plates in a German style, just seems like they're trying to fool police or ANPR with that.

I love it nice colour as well and i like your plate.
Noble suffer from some Chassis tin worm as well, Not just us TVR guys then. Must be a British thing lol
I had a play with one on a track night in the Cerb both cars where well matched power wise, boy could it go through the bends quickly. Only could start to catch back on the straights, Like a Cat and mouse game.
Any plans to Track it?

Apparently it's common to all british "pokey shed somewhere" made cars. Obviously it depends on usage and mine goes out in the rain a bit more than others because I like a bit of slip in my life, but yeah they'll all need the floor replacing at some point. I must say it was really only the bit that had contacted with the sealant that had got a bit messy, anything above that was solid. The rear frame tends to go (it's just a bracket for the intercooler and exhaust though) but mine was a lot better than others and will be fine now that I've added a little bit of drainage to the system.Don't let it worry you, if you want to buy one by now it'll most likely have been done and all specialists know about the job. I decided to tackle it myself because I like getting my hands dirty and had some time off to play with (and use of a big garage!)
