I decided I wanted to free up some of the glorious noise the V10.
Im used to doing my own development on my cars so I decided I would have my own made to my spec... first step was to have a V band put into the existing system mid way under the car meaning I can refit the original exhaust in 10 mins.
Then I removed the entire rear section and remade it as just pipes coming out the rear just to see what it sounded like.... it sounded awsome, yes it was loud but only outside the car, close the window and it was perfectly Ok in the car even on motorway.. normal idle was fine but sometimes on prolonged idle it would raise a few hundred and then become a little drony although in 3000 miles of driving like this it never bored or anoyed.
So I decided to retain it this way and had the tail pipes made... again I wanted something different and made some that are actually mini silencers so that the car retained its glorious noise on the move but reduced the idle noise a little.
Worked a treat and the look with the 3.5inch tailpipes was exactly what I was looking for, the height of them was made adjustable and I might raise them another 5mm to see what they look like, but at the moment I think they look right.
Anyway pics...

it was carried out by Paul a local fabricator who does all my custom work...

he has done 2 exhausts for my Noble to replace the std system and later convert to a single turbo setup I designed allowing massive power.
I still love the M5 sound, its not too loud in the car as I can still have a conference call at 80mph lol
