I needed to take my Gearbox apart because it jumped out of fourth gear.
It needs replacement of the fourth gear because all the syncropoints are worn.
Since it is open, I would like to take the chance to improve it where I can.
The gearbox had some improvement like needlebearing on places where it needs it, like seller told me when I bought the box, but will find out if he told the truth shortly.
On several websites you can buy so called heavy duty parts. Can anybody explain to me what is wise and what is a waste of money.
I'm not looking for answers like buy a complete Tran-x, Quaife or Drenth.

Options:
needle rollerbearing (where exactly)
Steel baulkrings,
Brass selector saddle
HD syncro inserts for the gears
Aluminium top cover
Aluminium casing

Whatever anybody else did and works.

I notice you are in the netherlands, in the UK road and race transmissions in kent have a good reputation. Is it worth asking them what parts they would install/upgrade if they were to rebuild it for you.

I used BGH for my 5 speed.
Heavy duty, and better ratios too.

A great box now!
