Anyone recommend a decent solicitor? (West Yorks)

Got a couple of house purchases coming up and some finances with my ex I need overseeing. Anyone recommend a good all-round solicitor who can serve me well ..and I can keep going back to for future use?

I live in Halifax so near would be better.

Hi Adam.

I've used Disken & Co in Dewsbury for years for Family & Commercial stuff (property). They helped me recently with a tricky and protracted negotiation for the purchase of a re-possessed property from the receivers. Without their help I doubt very much that the purchase would have gone through.

They are old school in many ways and provide and excellent and personal service. They are very honest and their rates are realistic.

If you want dynamic, flash suits and bills to match then they are not for you. If you want a professional, honest & reliable service then they should suit you just fine.
