Took my red mk1 to the hand car wash yesterday...it was filthy.

Did not expect to find the nose-cone and rear bumper a mix of red and pink streaks. frown

Will a bit of Super Resin Polish help here? Or is it "save for a respray" time?

Could just be a bit of paint oxidisation if it's been out in the sun. A bit of T-cut (or similar) may sort it out.

That will be the truck wash/tfr they used.
Fine on lacqued paint, not so good on two pack.
Elbow grease, T-cut and a polish will get it better than ever.

Depends how far gone it is really and how prepared you are to keep on top of it.

As an example of what can be achieved, here is what my mates Mums astra looked like.We did half and half shots as we cleaned it..

End results..

Pretty impressive, but it lasted about a month and went back to exactly how it looked before. My Alfa 155 in red did the same.
