Couple of good blags

Spent all Friday from mid afternoon in the Michelin hospitality being fed and watered for the drivers parade (big let down on previous years due to the roadworks ), made even better when it pissed down - we were very comfortable with our beer, canape's and being under cover

Got hold of some VIP paddock passes and we spent some hours wandering around the paddock being close to the action and walked straight into JRM Motorsport and Chevolet pits (amongst others who's name I can't remember) to spend some time watching it all happen.

My mate blagged a Nissan Nismo banner that were cable tied to the fencing by the carting.

On our way out we walked past the tyre fitting section behind the pits and saw a couple of wheels sat behind the fence, I one of the staff if we could have them (worth a go!) and he asked what we would give for them. I said 20 Euros and he seemed keen as they were scrap anyway - until an older staff guy came along and said the sensors on the wheels were a few hundred quids worth

He might of been messing with us, but I genuinely think we nearly had them (I'll prepare for flaming anyway..)

I managed to spend some time with the 61 Ferrari was awesome and got some cool signed stuff from the team.

My Mate managed to blag a neat new Ferrari rear tyre :-0 no wheel though :-(

You can change any ticket on-line now, very quickly through their phone optimised site. You pay only the difference, so my change to 3 hours earlier cost just £2.

I just book one around the time I need + around 2 hours to allow for delays and then when past Rouen change it to be 40-50 mins after I am due to arrive based on the Sat Nav. Works like a dream as you sail straight through passport control into the loading holding area.

I use the tunnel 30 or 40 times a year and always book any time approximately when I hope I'm going to be going back through Calais. We are rarely on the train we should be and are frequently some hours or even a day early or late and I have always simply gone through and hopped on the train changing the time at point of arrival, and always FOC.

Eurotunnel are extremely flexible and offer great customer service.

Agreed it does, I must admit i spotted several people retunring to campsites sunday night with local street signs. Necessary??

Watched this chap helping himself to a large advertising fence screen just after the finish, was well prepared with cutters and a knife. Incredible cheek

I think all the advertising covering the metal fences is likely to be binned anyway, I very much doubt that its carefully taken down and re used at the next event.
The nissan one was a type of matted material , not a hardwearing vinyl.
Happy to be proved wrong though.

Good point, he went into the compound, up to security, he was pointed in the direction of the reception, he went in, said "Can I have a banner please?"
She replied "Yes take as many as you like, we don't need them any more"

He walked out, cut one down for him self and one for the controle staff member.

had a pissed up frenchman walk into our villa where we were camping with WRR and gave me a residents ticket (red) which enabled me and 2 mates to get down to the marshals post on the mulsanne at 4 in the morning, he was actually there visiting the owner of the villa and I think the ticket was for him but he did give it to me for safe keeping plus said owner wasn't staying there anyway

That is standard, happens every year.

My mates returned home with the damaged carbon fibre rear inner wheel arch liners from the 74 Corvette.
