At the Le Mans Classic I spotted an Elise with very stylish aluminium column stalks, and wish to buy a pair. They look to be an aluminium casting and they flick upwards in a sort of S-bend shape, with tips like a thin leaf. After hours of web searching I found what seemed to be the same items on the Zertec temporary website, but their email address doesn't work. More hours of web searching later I found lots of references to Zertec (or Clive Reed) products on the various TVR sites, but I am no nearer to being able to buy a pair of their column stalks, nor have I found any others that look like the ones I saw on the Elise. Please can anyone shed more light? E.g. news of, or ideally a new email address for, Zertec / Clive Reed? Or else details of another similar product?

You mean like these, you can just about see

I managed to get mine direct from Clive and he was very Helpful, also got the nice ergonomic handbrake handle too from him and although delivery was delayed he did apologise and send me extra goodies.
I know someone earlier this year managed to get some off Clive. You may have to be patient though.

Thanks Ballistic. Could very well be the same ones - the ones I spotted are at page 1 on www.zertec.co.uk I'd be delighted to get some from Clive, but my problem is that I have no way of contacting him - the email address on the above web-site does not work. Any ideas for contacting him, please?

I tried for about six months to buy a pair of these to no avail. Ended up buying a pair on Ebay!
Definately worth the grief though, absolutely superb!

Try the factory.

I had one of the very last Chimaeras and it came out of the factory with alloy everything.

Didn't think the factory fitted the Zertec stalks more like the Leven ones, and the chap wants Clive's ones. R...

They fitted neither, they milled their own.

Very similar to Zertec ones I think.

Dear Everybody,
Thank you for all your replies so far. It is indeed the Zertec (or very similar) stalks I am after, as per the photos posted, not the Leven ones. I am assuming I need "after market" rather than "factory fit", since I am assuming I'll need to cut through the existing stalks and slide on the new ones - or are the factory ones also modifications in this way?

I haven't (yet) tried phoning any of the numbers suggested, as I'm in France and trying to resolve by internet if I can. Does anyone know if Zertec still exists, or am I actually flogging a dead horse?

Thanks again to all
Tony

Redline Acessories in W.Yorks make the stalks you're after - cool looking 3-d CNC-machined swoopy things as in the pic above. Their website is here, but down at the moment, although there's an email address listed. I'd bet that the RT Racing ones are made by Redline, so RT would supply them if you can't get hold of Karl at Redline. Hope that helps

Did CLive farm out teh manufacturing of them then? As far as I was aware they are strictly a Clive "Zertec" Reed design and not available elsewhere? Rich...

Redline make their own stuff - I've got one of their TVR-engraved gearknobs and a petrol filler cap - very tasty and nice and cheap
I'm only guessing that they supply RT, don't know if they supply others (eg Leven) tho'.
