Did anyone see someone's wheel fall off yesterday?

About 10 mins away from the tunnel at Calais? It was about 1pm ish.

The back right wheel came off at about 70 mph and started bouncing down the road and hit a road sign. It was lucky the car didn't slam into the barrier.

Im not sure what the car was. It was a 2 door 70's looking sports car. Lots of sparks and apparently the brake disk hit someone else's car.

Didn't see it happen but did pass him some time afterwards. I saw him at the side of the road with his car and a wheel next to it, assumed it was just a puncture until my mate behind said on the radio that he had spotted the rather long groove in the road that he must have made, we were too far past to stop and help by then though unfortunately. Hope he got back ok with minimal damage.

Saw two on the way back yesterday saw the triumph on the hard shoulder and about 50 miles earlier a french people carrier with the front wheel off on the hard shoulder and the wheel next to the crash barrier about 600m further up the road. both very lucky

Apparently there was a Talbot that had a wheel bearing go in the tunnel at Rouen, the wheel ended up under the car. Apparently after waiting a day or so for parts, the chap got down to the race in time.
