Alright guys, I need a little help. My front drivers side caliper has gone and needs replacing. I have taken it to my local garage (who I do trust alot) and they have quoted me 130.80 for a new caliper which comes with 12 months warranty. It will then be 45 quid in labour to fit it.

However, I have found this on ebay (mine is the SV-T model with bigger breaks) for only 58 quid, however it doesn't come with a guarantee.

I'm not sure what to do - either cough up the extra cash for a warranty and new part or go down the second hand option.

I would appreciate your help asap as I am currently without my beloved 5!

Go for the ebay one, if it only lasts you a couple of months before it breaks, even if you need to buy another one you still haven't paid £130!

Try Autolink for re-manufactured or second hand.

You should be able to get recon/exchange one for about £100.
