Not sure if this is the right place, but the new Ba advert is out and you can have the plane go down your street.

Reminds me of the dream I sometimes have of being in an aircraft but instead of flying, we drive down streets etc...somehow the wings never hit anyone/anything. A very common dream I'm told, I have a long winded explanation somewhere by a dream analyst-its all about frustration about life's restrictions, not being able to break free/fly high etc etc...
But yeah, nice vid

They really should find a song that's not about detonating a nuclear weapon in the middle of London.

Good God, I've had that dream...well similar on many occasions. We're taxiing along a twisty dual carraigeway and don't gain enough height to clear houses etc, so end up wieving in and out of suburban streets!!!

It's not, that lyric is a passing reference to three mile island

BA have never made an advert that matches the 1989 Face one. Sick and tired of hearing The Clash as well.

I guess that will cut down the immigration queues at Heathrow.

Could cause some nasty traffic congestion though.

Glad i am not alone with this dream. In Mine we do take off but dont get above 50ft, weaving in and out of the streets. The plane is a wide body, but the cockpit is part of the passenger cabin, so we can chat,or yell, to the pilot!

Hahahaha that is brilliant! The taking it down your street, not the ad. That's ok.

Erm, read my post above!

Seems to me he just picked 3 things in the news at the time and made a song around them.

The fear after the 3 mile island that Nuclear power would be dangerous, sea levels rising flooding London and low lying areas and the Police beating people up.

I'd guess most people seeing the ad won't even register the lyrics.

I think it goes really well with the Ad.

It's the 'engines stop running' lyric that probably should have made them think twice about using that song given that there's a 777 in the advert. Also images of a plane in a city centre accompanied by the words 'war is declared' seems a bit wrong to me. Suspect the ad agency were taking the piss a bit.
