Life will never be dull when you have pop up headlights....
Discussion
So spent quite a bit of time over the winter refurbing my headlights, lift motors and associated bracketry as at the end of last season the offside headlight refused to come out of it's pod without assistance, the problem was due to corroded contacts in the up / down limit switch which have been cleaned.
Put everything back together and they must have done 20 odd up down cycles while I messed about with adjustment etc, passed the MOT then when I arrived at the local PH pub meet I decided to demo that my car was no longer winking, except the drivers pod stuck up this time.
Lucky I'd also fixed the manual lift knob while I was at it....

This subject is probably one of the top 10 of wedge most common problems..Mainly due to the least amount of use they get..New switches are available from rimmer bros..Pod motors from robsport international..Relays and diodes are available from various suppliers..Then its all down to the wiring..Which should be checked or replaced when possible..Maybe we should all have a stroll out to the car park at Ettington on the saturday night just to see how many do or dont work...Could make for interesting viewing..Especially if there are any winkies...
Sorry but this is the best vid of pop up lights...EVER!!...Classic
