They have now invented the cats eye speed camera.

I think you'll find they are not camera's (yet) but are used to aid drivers in for warning of junctions etc by replicating the traffic lights colours in the road studs. Quite a good idea I think...until someone makes them into big brother.

Just call me an old fuddy duddy but certain colours of road studs have particular meanings to me.

The introduction of road studs which change colour needs to be thought out carefully in my opinion. Not something that Government appears to do all that well, thinking things out carefully I mean.
