Uploading multiple pics

Just a quickie (ooh er!)
Are there any plans to make the photos upload app allow more than one at once? It's a bit tedious if you have more than one or two. I know other places you can select a few at once and then upload them all with one click.

Are you talking about uploading photos in the classifieds or in the forum?

Funnily enough, as a regular contributor to this thread http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... I actually planned on coming on here to ask exactly the same thing!

It would be nice to be able to upload more than one picture at a time, it takes ages to do at the moment. And yep, I know it's a Thumbsnap thing, but you fellas must have some clout there?!

Sorry, I meant on the forums. For example I made a reader's car thread with about 6 pictures in the OP. 6 times of adding one at a time, plus if you lose track you can easily duplicate yourself because thumbsnap changes the filenames.

When I did a similar thing on blogspot it was add pictures - "open file type" window pops up (a bit like PH) - then click and drag mouse to select 6 at once, then it uploads all at once.

For all my images I put on PH I use tinypic.
It doesn't allow you to do multiple uploads. but it's easy to keep track of the images and codes you need to embed the image.

There is no way at present to "mass" insert images without a bit of copy/paste wrangling

Ah, for images on the forums is recommend requesting this feature from Thumbsnap.

Cheers. I assumed it was a "sorry, that's just how the thumbsnap thing works". Just thought I'd mention it in case they plan on updating it, you can say it's been mentioned this functionality would be welcome.

I'm not sure if it actually works for getting images into PH, but Thumbsnap have a "NEW! Sign in with Twitter to upload multiple pictures at once!" link on their homepage.

ETA, OK so it's not embedded into PH, but it's a fairly painless exercise to multi-select and upload to Thumbsnap directly, then copy & paste the URLs generated into a PH post.
