Route for Berlin to Amsterdam

Hi Guys,

I am in the fortunate position to be readying myself for a european driving holiday. We are traveling down through france, then up through Italy, over the alps through some of the passes, then over to Germany.

I have the route more or less planned to Berlin.
But I am stumped from there on - I don't know Germany well.

What is the best / nicest way to get from Berlin to Amsterdam (to get the ferry back)? I'll probably have 2-3 days to do it in.

Any suggestions gladly accepted!
