Back in early March I managed to realise a dream I'd had for about 15 years and picked up a TVR Chimaera. I promised myself one before I was 30 and I did it with 9 months to spare.

It's a 1997 400 in Rosso Pearl with a flint grey interior... 69k (ish) on the clock and runs like a dream.

As I have a week off work this week I got outside with the clay bar/DA polisher and got cracking:

A few bits to sort out (but its a long term keeper) - outriggers will need looking at early next year, new roof and carpets wouldn't go a miss either but i'm not complaining.

It's a strange colour, looks almost flat dark red in the shade but then the sun comes out and it's almost a vibrant gloss red.

I had a guy come up to me in a car park yesterday and ask me if it had been resprayed...

It will need it one day. Rosso Pearl is the one colour that fades from the whole selection available at the time.My uncle also chose this colour and you can really see the fade when comparing the inside edges of the door to the outside. Still looks gorgeous though.

Indeedy. And seriously, when you have the time, i would love you to do mine, lots of payment in beer. I cannot get a grip of using a claybar
