Im wondering whether any one on here can help, I have a problem with my chimaera 400 94 at tick over. I have done and checked every thing that could possibly be checked and Im left with only the road speed sensor. mine has the sd1 gear box the sensor is fitted to this, I only seem to have one wire coming from the sensor, is this correct? also where does the seperate feed happen to the ecu, is this before the speedo or after if at all?
Many thanks in advance

Is the sensor the one on the left side of the gearbox - opposite side to the reverse light switch ?
If so, it should certainly have 2 wires and if you have only 1 you shouldn't have a working speedo, the drop in revs when you come to a stop will be stalling the car and it will be running very rich.

I've got photos of my switch with the wire colours. I'll post them here for you shortly.

Barreti that info is great, pictures would also be much appreciated. It has to be the road speed sensor, the speedo is working but the car is running very rich on tick over and stalling at junctions etc

Sorry Milk Tray, I completely forgot about this.

Heres the connector end of my transducer

Undo this and the transducer simply pulls out

You're welcome Milk Tray. Good luck sorting it out. Its relatively easy once you've dropped the exhaust off.

Daz, you have some kind of sensor off the back of the gearbox on a T5
This is in the side of the gearbox on an LT77

But your problem could be related to the sensor so its worth doing a bit of searching about where yours is located.

your Megasquirt as no connection to roadspeed or your speedo whatsover if that helps Daz, you have another cause of your poor MPG.
