Hi Guys
well as my car does not have it original number plate and is registered 1-1-89 was wondering after reading a couple off bit's that production stopped in 88??? maybe mine was a shell they had laying around and a customer came in and ask for one??? anyways of finding out please, Cheers Ralph

Wedge production was definitely still going in '89, mine's an '89 G plate.

Could have been a car built for a dealer and not sold or registered till '89

There's a J-plate 400SE not far from me.

Are you just talking about 350s ?

Plenty of the other Wedge models were made after 89.

Hi

My new toy is a J plate so they were around new then.
Dealers proberly had a few for a while after production stopped. A 89 - 90 car is not unusual!

Check the vin number with the Wedge 'Bible' or if u r a member (or get someone who is!) the TVRCC archivist can tell you basic info on the car from factory records supposedly.... My WEdge S2 was built in Nov 89

Ralph, have a look at the chassis plate in the engine bay, the build year of your car is in letter code; G= 1986, H= 1987, J=1988 and so on. My (very much missed) 350i plate finished JB019334. Hope this helps.

A few years ago I had a 350SE, number 23 on a K plate

I know I have seen a Green 400SE on an L Plate
but as previous posts I believe it was just registered very late
