Hi everyone, has any one does this job? Is it fairly straight forward? I have new reflectors and lenses and the adjustor kit i bough a while back now, any feedback would be much appreciated!

I did mine a couple of months and it's pretty straight forward and took about 3 hours. Front wheels of, hatches off, unscrew old adjusters, take bulbs / wiring out. Unscrew wingnuts from headlight trims and prise off carefully as they're bonded on with silicon. Remove reflectors. Fitting news one reverse of above - see http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... for further info. Most difficult thing is setting the beam height as you can only access the adjusters with the wheels off - we put the car level and measured how high it was off the ground and added this to the what we thought the beam height should be - seemed to work out OK anyway.

easy to do, just be careful when removing/cutting out the glass, so you don't destroy the rubber seal around it.
when fitting, use grease on the entire length of the adjustment screw and make sure the wing-nut runs free.
i used silicone seal to make the cover and glass watertight

Seriously, good luck with that! Mine had so much tiger seal it was the longest part of the job to take them off! I had to use a very long flexible sharp blade which I slid between wing and cowl to cut through the seal! Care and patience required!

Thanks a lot guys, just waiting on the HIDs 55w 4300k. Tomorrow i will start! Only prob my garage is not 25ft from the wall to get the lights aligned! Anyone know a different way? Or shall i position the old ones from a distance mark it, then adjust new ones to suit?

I had mine rechromed by Butterworth in Ramsgate... You may need to get all the fixing for the headlight... screws and wingnuts. They rusted badly on mine... Hence the need to rechrome my lenses. Just for the thread, £75 for BOTH lenses!! GOOOD value!
