That often give the most pleasure.

I've just spent 30 minutes refurbing the remotes for my car, which have never worked. Then reprogrammed them to the car, and all is good in the world again!

So, what small pleasures have given PH satisfaction this week?

Took my car to the local car wash. Nothing special you say?. I sprayed wheelcleaner on the alloys before going there to get them extra clean when it went through the washer.

The little things.

The Porsche passed its MOT this week, and I was asked if it was for sale by the tester.

I changed a headlight bulb the other day.

Took me 5 minutes and i still had all the skin on my knuckles, as opposed to the usual 30 minutes and no skin left at all.

While searching for something else, I found my "good" mini torch after losing it while moving house in October. That's going straight back in the glovebox where it belongs.

I service the car last week and got horrible crude like black sludge out the bottom, before putting nice silky smooth oil in the top. smile

On friday she'll be getting a new battery as well, because I was late to work again this morning when she didnt start. Only be a £20 ebay jobbie, but it will do.

Next month I might even fix whatever has worn out on the front corner. Probably a wheel bearing from the sounds of things.

I spent a good 30/40 minutes trying to change a bulb on my Focus once, nightmare. Did it in 5 minutes in my BMW, lovely and easy.

Love it when that happens. I've been looking for other things, hoping to find my TV remote...no luck yet though!

Changing a headlight bulb was surprising straightforward and done in less that 10 minutes. So what, you cry, but after all the horror stories you read about bumper removal and needing to take it to a main agent for a job like this, it was a nice surprise (car is a Volvo S60 btw).
