Hi All,

I've just received confirmation of my new registration plate transfer so can put my new plates on my car, I've just taken the caps off the existing screws but it's a weird fixing D: has anyone come across this arrangement? and know the easiest way to remove them? I'm assuming they're some sort of anti tamper screws and not meant to be removed >.> I probably should have checked before buying a new plate tongue out.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
P.S I don't want to hear anything about how dirty my plate is!, yes I know it's been neglected haha

Thanks

Ty

Looks like a rivet, will need drilling out.

Absolute cobblers.

That's just a plastic plug pushed into the hole. When the screw is inserted the plug then expands sideways and grips the hole. With a bit of luck if you partially insert a screw into the plug and the pull the screw with a pair of pliers the whole thing will come out.

Maybe the OP can confirm whether it is indeed a rivet or a plastic insert.....

Definitely a rivet. I'm guessing its French?
