GSF & the new online shop - oh dear
Discussion
Has anybody tried buying anything through GSF online since they updated their website the last wee or so ?
I'm pretty sure it's designed by the same people who did Autotrader! Its slow & dreadful to use. Notably when you scroll over the tabs by accident you get almost full page menus cropping up which is not what you want when navigating the page your on. Its also not immediately obvious thats whats going on.
Also try buying an indicator lens for a BMW there is no way to distinguish between a left or right one.
Why do business's publish such awful sites?????

It seems marginally better than it used to be! However, that's not saying much as the old site was pretty dreadful. A particular annoying thing I've just noticed that it only mentions 'standard' or 'premium' parts rather than an actual brand.
Tbh, I stick to ECP nowadays. There are a couple of local branches plus we've got a deal organised with E30Zone for some discount.

www.carparts4less.co.uk (same company, different name, 30% off) are even cheaper if you don't want tools. Tbh, I stick to ECP nowadays. There are a couple of local branches plus we've got a deal organised with E30Zone for some discount.

I would use GSF more often, but not listing the part supplier is a real turn off.

Reply to the blog page & you get a failThat's from their last website redesign last year - check the comment dates, they're from January. To be fair to them, it looks like they have taken a lot of the comments from that blog post on board in the new site. I think it's pretty decent actually, but I have the benefit of a ginormous screen. I can easily see how this would be nasty for someone on a 1280/800 laptop screen...
