For like .5 of a second after fitting a new fuel pump, weirdly enough i get no spark now (ignition fuse is intact) the exhaust smells like fuel though which means the new pump is working.

Anyone care to take a picture of their ignition coil wires so i can see whether i wired them up correctly color wise, especially the red and green one.

Why not pull a plug lead and use a spare plug, swap the wires around and see if you get a spark, sorry i would post a picture but mine are white and black, good luck

Swapping the coil leads around willy-nilly would be a good way to pop the ignition amplifier.
