British Classic req' for display at Sc unthorpe ball please
Discussion
Can anyone assist in a Charity do by having their British car displayed please?
A bit cheeky, as I tend to be a lurker on PH rather than a poster, but as someone who attends Jenny Wren meets occasionally and a supportor of their charity days, I thought I might ask....
Clugstons in Sc unthorpe are having a Charity Ball on Friday the 13th July in Sc unthorpe in aid of local Charities in recognition of their 75th Anniversary. The theme of the evening is "Best of British" and as such have asked for a couple of British cars to be gate guardians to their evening marquee.
Being the owner of a sporting green british car, I've volunteered one car - but since most of my connections are in Lotus circles, I'm not having much joy in finding other brands. As I'm competing at the moment, my car will sport the number 75 roundrels for the night - with sponsorship stickers being replaced for the names of the supported charities. There is no need for any other car to be decorated - unless you wish to do so yourself. (I'm using my usual vinyl printer in Shorpe for custom stuff ) My car is also a bit of a track pig now - so it would be nice to have something more 'detailed' than my own.
Cars can be locked and left - no need to stay all night if you don't wish. I'm also talking to Clugstons at the moment to see what drivers can receive as a way of thanks - even if its just coffee on the evening.
Please let me know if you would be willing to display a car.

Hello David. Did you not received the email that Big Al sent explain why your post was removed?
Unfortunately, well meaning as it was, it did (in its original format) fall foul of the PH T&Cs in respect of posting rules:-
When using this website you agree not to: promote charity events or recruit for charitable donations
I know it seems a bit severe but we have to apply the same rule across the board.
David, we have taken another look at the thread, edited it and re-posted above. If you need any help with similar future events, just drop Garlick or myself a line and we will see if we can help a little earlier
