Where to sell a projector
Discussion
As Shtu says, but don't bother trying to ask anything close to what you paid for it new as they lose money faster than a larger engined car in a fuel crisis.
I once sold a 4 month old Panasonic projector and lost £700 on it, but I was just glad to be shot of it.
Link for the projector sales section below, if you search for the model in question then you will find other previous sales in the archive. Generally you won't get any more than the last sold price as some smart Alec will always find the previous sale thread and link to it as 'proof' that yours is too expensive.

I wouldn't bother sticking it in storage, it'll only lose even more money and then unless you end up using it again, then it's just a waste. Might as well get what you can for it and bank the money, at least you'll get some interest on the savings (oh wait...forget that last bit about interest
).
I was quite interested in the Mico myself, but TBH I'm quite happy with my modest JVC HD350 (plus a Lumagen Radiance VP and an Isco lens), despite the '350 now being very out of date and available new for less than half what I paid for it 3 years ago...I think I'll eventually buy an X30 or X70, but only a used one and then only if it's cheap enough. I spent my last projector upgrade money on the Z3 3.0 and I think it's given me more pleasure than a small improvement in 2D image would give me anyway.

^^ I would agree with that. For me it's not really about specifications, it's whether I enjoy watching it. For example, my old but trusty HD950 has gone to make way to the wonderful world of 3D. We now have an X3 and to be honest besides the £8k difference, there's not an awful lot between them in picture quality.
Old Skool, if you are contemplating another projector, drop me a PM. I have a really decent guy in the know and he saved me quite a few pounds

Thanks Lordflathead, I'll try to remember when I do decide to upgrade, but it won't be for a while yet: The Z3 took the savings and the RS2000 restoration project needs some money (and more time).
I went to the UK launch of the X3/7 and the 3D gave me a splitting headache, so there is no point me upgrading for a 3D projector anyway. In my case I know that my room is limiting the image quality, but I gave up messing about putting up a black cloth 'tent' everytime I wanted to use the PJ. Before I upgrade I need to either replace my (expensive) 2.35:1 matt white screen with one of those Draper ReAct type and/or devise some slicker room improvements. I'd love a proper dedicated 'bat cave' cinema room, but it isn't going to happen especially as we don't even do the lottery...
