I'm amazed it managed to do that amount of damage! I bet that gave the passengers a bit of a fright...

A panel has been damaged!

With a crumple like that surely the structure has been deformed!

yes To do that damage involves buckling several of the skin stringers at the very least... thats gonna be a big old repair job if its even viable to do so

Hmmm, it looks like the guys in the pointy end mucking it up...... Would be interesting to see the Flight Deck Monitoring.

Have flown the 76 all over the world for the last 8 years & it's an incredibly stable aircraft on approach & landing (even going into MPN at 'cough' max cross wind limits).

Hope ANA make a better job in the 78.
