For ages I haven't been able to find a better fast, fun car but recently my RX7, Supercharged MX5 and TVR all developed faults at the same time.

I borrowed a 320 ML Automatic off my Dad for a few days it's quiet and comfortable but god it's slow.

I have just jumped back into my TVR and on the 5 mile journey home it's acceleration is stunning.

Shame I'll become accustomed to it again in 20 miles or so.

I thought that you were going to tell us how you re-routed the windscreen washer bottle so that it sprayed fuel directly into the turbo, or something like that. smile

I'm with you there. The 1.4L 1997 Polo i have (insert standard justification smile ) -> for the missus to learn to drive in makes the Tuscan feel tremendous when I take it out.

Then again it can work the other way round! In SW London the Polo is SO stress free to nip about in with worries as it is so easy to drive and with great vis etc.

Griff, I know exactly what you mean.

Without going O/T, but the reverse of this is also very true.

Having spent 4 days covering 1,400 miles worth of hooning, track days and motorway in the Caterham, the next morning my commuter TDi Passat seem to have developed Rolls Royce levels of refinement! I wafted to work on the M25 in complete and utter luxury biggrin

they arent that slow, I was raced by one in a Golf Mk2 GTI (8 valve) and it was a little quicker than that on the straights, where it lost out was taking roundabouts and it coudlnt compete with a Golf GTI on uprated suspension and went over part of the roundabout the great tit biggrin

"Use (V)TEC in the (Integra DC)5"

Looks like it's becoming the new PH meme... (Very very almost lorry, etc.)

I was kind of hoping someone had fitted a Turbonique liquid-fuelled rocket drag axle or supercharger.

Check out this link and tell me you don't want one.

Good, we've only had "kick her in the sponge" since "very very almost lorry". And that's only prominent in the Lounge.

Hmmm scratchchin might be a business opportunity for me here, renting my car out to owners of fast cars that think they are slow - £200 for half an hour, cheaper than a remap and you'll think your car has turned into a fighter jet when you get back into it hehe

Alongside the washer bottle injection retrofit service of course

Having spent a few weeks driving the wife's Freelander around due to the weather I can safely say that reversing the Chimaera out of the garage reveals my drive is not as long I once thought it was..... and my neighbour opposite can move quite sprightly for a big bloke hehe

I do this as well.....and fold the rear seats down , lowers the centre of gravity and weighs less...;)
